Laval
residents Odile and Joseph Marineau were, around 1900,
vegetable and flower producers. Later in Ste-Dorothée,
Laval, Joseph Marineau and his wife Irène followed
this tradition by cultivating vegetables. Their son
Roger forms an association with his two brothers in
1967 thus founding Marineau brothers, an intensive
vegetable growing company. This company is doing business
in the cityof Laval which has become an important center
for vegetable growing and horticultural products.
Martin
and Louis Marineau, of the fourth generation, noticing
the general passion for dried flowers, found Fleurineau
in 1993. With the help of european technologies they
have since built three industrial dryers. In conjuction
with their parents they also developped a fresh flower
production featuring annuals and perrenials in pots
or trays as well as cut flowers for bouquets when
in season
